So couple of days ago it was my birthday and hubby was going all secret on me about what he got me and about the fact, that he already bought me a present and that I should guess (and obviously never find out). Finally the day came and he arrived with a massive box and a bag, telling me, I know that you said you didn’t want one, but I also know that deep deep down you did, and I got a deep fat fryer. This is one of the first things I prepared with it.
- soy sauce
- lemon juice
- cook the octopus in a pot with boiling water accordingly to its size (smaller ones take 20-25 min, the bigger ones up to 50 min);
- take it out, let it cool and cut it into small chunks about 3-5cm;
- prepare the batter beating egg and a little bit of milk, adding mustard, soy sauce, flour and salt&pepper;
- fry the chunks and serve with a little bit of lemon juice on the side.
