Marinated feta

This, this is an all-year-rounder. It goes well on toothpicks, with focaccia bread, with grilled meat, on the side of an olive, you name it :-). You can vary the fresh herbs, but, in my opinion there are a couple of must-haves, such as chilli flakes (it wouldn’t be me otherwise), lemon zest, garlic powder… the rest it’s just a matter of taste, or inspiration 😉


  • feta
  • chilli flakes
  • lemon zest
  • black pepper
  • olive oil
  • dried oregano
  • dried rosemary (I would also go with fresh herbs, but hadn’t any the time I prepared this portion)


  1. cut the cheese into small cubes;
  2. chop the herbs (if fresh), add all the ingredients in a bowl and mix, allowing for them to marinate for a while (a couple of hours would be ideal), and taste.
