Tuna sushi with red radish and fresh asparagus salad

What can there be that’s more tempting than very fresh tuna, asparagus and red radish (and the omnipresent spring onion)? This is a very (VERY) quick starter to an Asian themed dinner, perhaps? Or just a nibble if you so want. Really, for this recipe you won’t need to spend more than 10 minutes in the kitchen, and you’ll even counted the time to chat…

Ingredients:

  • fresh tuna (sushi quality)
  • asparagus
  • red radish
  • spring onion
  • black sesame seeds
  • soy sauce
  • fish sauce
  • rice vinegar
  • sugar
  • wasabi paste

Method:

  1. cut the fish into thin slices and place on the dish;
  2. slice the red radish, the asparagus (use the part near the tip, it’s the most tender) and the spring onion and mix in a bowl;
  3. prepare the sauce mixing equal quantities of soy sauce and fish sauce, add a little bit of rice vinegar and sugar;
  4. sprinkle the black sesame seeds on top and serve.
