Pink macarons

Pink macarons

I didn’t think it would be so easy to make macarons, but then I saw a video of Rosanna Pansino on Youtube (here the link to her channel: Link) and I decided I wanted to prepare them myself. It’s really easy (once I got to a decend weight converter ;-))

  • 3 egg whites
  • 128g of ground almonds
  • 256g od powdered sugar
  • 32g of normal sugar
  • a pinch of salt
  • food coloring
  • 50g butter
  • 50g powdered sugar
  • 100g cream cheese
  • vanilla aroma

  1. sift the powdered sugar and the ground almonds and leave in a bowl;
  2. separate the eggs and beat the eggs whites for 4 minutes, and then slowly the normal sugar and beat for another 4 minutes, add the food coloring;
  3. then add the pinch of salt and (about 1/3rd at the time) the sugar/almond mix;
  4. put the mixture in a piping bag and pipe little rounds on a baking sheet (on a baking tray);
  5. tap vigorously so that all the air bubbles go away and let rest for 30 minutes;
  6. preheat the oven at 150 °C and cook them on the top shelf for 20 minutes;
  7. sift some powdered sugar and mix with butter, cream cheese and vanilla aroma (and food coloring, if you so wish);
  8. once the macarons are cooked, pipe some of the creamcheese frosting and put the 2 halves together and serve.
