Peas and mint dip for chips

Peas and mint dip for chips

I just had some peas left in the freezer from a Moroccan dinner and didn’t really know what to do with them. They’re not really a favourite of mine, but maybe I’m just not over some childhood foodtrauma yet (maybe someday). Anyway. I had these peas. And then I remembered the Asterix animated movies I used to watch as a child and I remembered the one that plays in Great Britain, where poor Obelix had to endure the mint sauce with his wild boar…. And it hit me! Why not make a sauce with the peas? A dip for chips? 🙂

Ingredients:

  • frozen peas
  • mint leaves
  • garlic
  • sour milk (or crème fraîche)
  • vegetable stock
  • salt&pepper

Method:

  1. put the peas, mint, chopped garlic, a couple of table spoons of sour milk and an equal amount of hot vegetable stock in the blender and mix;
  2. season to taste
  3. and taste with a bag of Tyrell’s.
