Chocolate muffins with a soft surprise

I’ve always wanted to try out some muffins with a fluid inside. I’m still on a diet (sort of…. nono, I am, I swear I am) but this shall not prevent me to *keep calm and bake on* ;-). With a chocolate truffe or (in my case) Lindor ball (yeah, well the local supermarket’s variety). So I’ve gone back to an old recipe of mine (this one here, link) and just added the lindor ball on top of the muffins just before putting it in the oven…. Hmmmmmm, gooey 🙂


  • 200g flour
  • 190g sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 50g butter
  • pinch of salt
  • baking powder
  • 150ml milk
  • 60g cocoa powder
  • 12 Lindor balls


  1. prepare the batter for the muffins mixing first the liquid ingredients and adding the (mixed) dried ones afterwards;
  2. put the batter into the forms and drop a chocolate ball dusted with flour into each one of them;
  3. bake for about 15-20 minutes at 180-190 °C (check with a stick if they’re done).
