Coupelles with crab mousse and fresh herbs

Coupelles with crab mousse and fresh herbs

An opern box of coupelles here, a can of crab meat found in the cupboard… all alone, some few sprigs of coriander and so on… the fridge is pretty empty, the cupboard full of stuff that need more than just opening and serve, stuff that needs to be processed (and I’m running low on wanting to process it). So here it is, a quick crab mousse served in coupelles, so no risk to get your fingers dirty 😉

Ingredients:

  • coupelles (yeah yeah, those by Ikea, your friendly Sweedish store)
  • crab meat
  • cream cheese
  • mayonnaise
  • tabasco
  • olive oil
  • salt&pepper
  • lime juice and zest
  • coriander
  • chillies

Method:

  1. mash up the crab meat and mix it with the cream cheese, the mayo and the crème fraîche;
  2. add some lime juice and zest, tabasco and season with salt&pepper;
  3. chop the coriander and the chillies and mix them together with olive oil and some more lime juice and zest and salt&pepper to form a little salsa;
  4. serve the crab mousse in the coupelles with some salsa on top.
