This time I wanted to recreate the shrimps you can buy at a local supermarket. Actually I wanted them to have a panko crust, but in the big supermarket (where you can get these shrimps and they are with panko…) there was no panko to buy in the shelves and the friendly worker told me “I’ve never held panko in my hands” Really? In the small supermarket (same chain) here in the village I know I’ve seen it…. So, for this time it’s normal bread crumbs, next time it’ll be panko 🙂
- bread crumbs (PANKO!)
- barbecue sauce
- season the flour with salt and pepper, add some water to the egg and beat them together, “butterfly” the shrimps;
- do a double coating and fry;
- add some salt whent you take them out of the frier;
- mix sriracha and barbecue sauce 1:1 and serve.
