Smoked thick flank

Smoked thick flank

This is no nibble, no quick recipe either… Well, it is if you count only the preparation… I didn’t do the cooking ;-). This is the first piece of meat that got smoked in our new smoker. And it was lovely! I’m looking forward to taste new stuff, any idea for what I should go next? Pulled pork? Ribs? You name it and leave me a comment down below 😉

  • thick flank of beef (ca. 1,4kg)
  • salt
  • black pepper
  • garlic powder and dried garlic
  • sunflowerseed oil
  • sugar

  1. take out the meat of the fridge well before starting to work with it;
  2. mix all the dry ingredients in a bowl;
  3. dry the meat, rub it first with oil and then massage the dry rub in, leave to marinate for 30min;
  4. get your smoker ready and put the meat on and go on smoking… and don’t forget your liquid intake 😉
