Chocolate mini cupcakes with espresso buttercream

Ingredients

  • 200g flour
  • 190g sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 50g butter
  • 60g cocoa powder
  • salt
  • baking powder
  • instant coffee
  • 150ml milk
  • 450g icing sugar
  • 125g butter
  • 1-2 TBS milk

Instructions

prepare the batter for the minicupcakes and add a couple of teaspoons of instant coffee into the batter;

cook the cupcakes in a preheated oven at 180°C for 15-20 minutes;

while they're cooling prepare the buttercream adding the instant coffee to the milk and pipe;

add a dusting of chocolate powder on top.
