This cake turned out so nice, and I’m very proud because it’s not of my making. I just participated here and there (a little bit of painting of the fondant) a little bit of adding the chocolate frosting… very proud of my troop of helpers!

Ingredients

  • 1 boxed (OMG! shut the front door yes!) chocolate cake
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 dl water
  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 cup chocolate
  • raspberries
  • vodka
  • coloring gel
  • fondant
  • flour

Instructions

prepare the frosting by microwaving butter and chocolate, once liquid cover with cleanfilm and leave to cool;

prepare the batter according to the instructions, divide into 2 tins (18cm);

bake according to the packet's temperature but it'll take less time to bake (so check!);

once cooled cut away the dome (will be used for the "dirt");

beat the frosting with the electric mixer until fluffy;

spread some of the frosting on the one cake, add "opened" raspberries, cover;

crumbcoat the cake and leave 20 min. in the fridge to set;

second coat the cake;

9

prepare the coloring gel and have some vodka ready to clean the brushes;

10

prepare the decorations with the fondant and decorate the cake, serve.
